We are looking for a Production Assembler II. This position will work closely with the Production Supervisor to assemble and package products and in accordance with the work order. This position will meet quality control standards, and quantity expectations. The Assembler II will ensure products completed for shipping are be clean, neat, have a correct weight, and be appropriate for a store shelf.

What youll be doing:

*Assembly*

* Assemble empty cases and stage for filling.

* Fill cases with bottled product. This often requires lifting multiple bottles off a table and placing them inside a case or into a point-of-purchase box.

* Maintain pace with the overall line speed.

* Swap-out routinely between performing one specific work task and another type, as directed.

* Tape cases such that flaps are even and held closed securely.

* Build an evenly-arranged and stable pallet comprised of cases.

* Move pallets of product as required with designated equipment.

* Use date coder machine and check to verify code is legible.

* Cap bottles, checking product for quality.

* Operate labeling machine and correct minor issues.

* Fill salt canisters within the correct fill weight.

* Fill tubes ensuring complete seal.

* Accurately and fully complete all paperwork and tags associated with the position.

*General Manufacturing Practices*

* Follow good manufacturing processes, and all standard operating procedures.

* Perform regular quality inspections in all steps of production, and in the production lines to maintain overall product quality, and to minimize rejects.

* Provide damaged goods to manager.

* Review quality concerns with manager.

* Bring equipment problems or needs, safety concerns, or supply needs to managers attention.

* Recommend process or equipment improvement opportunities as you see them.

* Maintain and clean equipment appropriately. Care must be taken to ensure foreign organisms are not introduced to finished products. Dispose of empty boxes or trash in accordance with recycling and compost guidelines.

* Understand and support the SWTC employee manual and safety program;

* Properly spot checking the production line and the ability to completely fill out Packaging Batch Record forms

* Perform other reasonable tasks and projects as directed by manager;

*Safety and Security*

* Must report to your supervisor any unsafe or hazardous condition.

* Personal protective equipment (gloves, masks or goggles) must be worn for certain products as mandated by the Safety Data Sheet (such as powders or essential oils).

* Must lift carefully using legs, and more than 50 pounds should be assisted by another employee.

* Spills must be cleaned up immediately.

* Rotate job post and carry out stretching exercises in order to prevent repetitive stress injury.

What youll bring:

* High School Diploma or equivalent

* Prior manufacturing experience in GMP environment highly preferred

* Ability to grasp, bend, walk, lift, and move items up to 50 pounds.

* Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred but not required

* Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.

* Excellent oral and written communication skills

* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with people at all levels
