Operational Readiness Test System Engineer

Salary Range: $80 000
In-Depth Engineering seeks Operational Readiness Test System (ORTS) Engineers to support the growing needs of our Aegis Ship Integration and Test (SI&T) program specifically ensuring equipment is operable, available for testing, and sea trials.
The work is performed at our customer site in San Diego, CA. Candidates for consideration must be a US citizen and be able to obtain an active Department of Defense secret clearance.
All experience levels are welcome to apply. This is a permanent, full-time position requiring 25% TDY travel.
Duties
Responsible for ensuring ORTS equipment and related interfaces are operational and available
Knowledge of equipment suites, setup configurations, equipment interfaces, and identification of proper data extraction requirements to support testing
Familiarity with procedures used to diagnose and alter hardware and software configurations
Understanding of hardware, test programs, and test procedures
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent years of related experience
Familiarity with the Operational Readiness Test System (ORTS)
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a loud environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must have the ability to attain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
Desired Skills
Aegis Combat System experience
