About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Systems Test Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for verifying Airgain solutions that integrate device hardware, firmware, cloud, and platform software with connectivity services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in verifying Airgain wireless connectivity and IoT products/solutions, focusing on functionality, performance, stability, and customer experience.
  • Consult with the team to develop overall test strategies and derive detailed test plans/cases, interacting closely with engineering teams and product management to ensure compliance with solution requirements and industry standards.
  • Define and operate a process to publish test results and manage issues found in testing, including triage, reporting, escalation, resolution, verification, and regression testing.
  • Conduct engineering tests and detailed experimental testing to collect design data or assist in research to improve the quality of ASIC products.
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-discipline team, including software development, system design, customer support, RF/antenna design, hardware design, and more.
  • Responsibilities include system-level feature integration and test, developing and executing test strategies and test plans, troubleshooting and analyzing problems, optimizing system performance, executing inter-operability tests, post-processing logs, and supporting customers with product commercialization.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in systems testing with demonstrated expertise in one or more areas: digital communications systems, data networking, vehicle communications integration, IoT (preferred).
  • Understanding of wireless systems and data protocols, including LTE/5G cellular, WiFi, Bluetooth, TCP/IPv4v6, PPP, FTP, and VPN.
  • Understanding of wireless products and development/verification processes, including Agile/Scrum, requirements traceability/coverage, field-testing, log-capture/analysis.
  • Understanding of key performance indicators and impairments of RF and Baseband signals.
  • Experience using and understanding lab equipment: signal analyzer, signal generator, spectrum analyzer.
  • Experience with Python, Shell scripting, and/or C/C++/C#.
  • Strong organizational and verbal/written communication skills, with a desire to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced innovation environment.

Compensation

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $81,000-$90,000 + target annual bonus.
