Shift 1 (United States of America) Position Summary: Milacron is looking for an Assembly Lead to join our team in Batavia, OH. As an Assembly Lead you will be responsible for leading hourly employees in a manufacturing environment, planning and assigning work, implementing policies and procedures, and recommending improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions. Work You'll Do: Ensure effective employee relations, provide employee coaching and development, track absenteeism and timekeeping, and resolve employee issues through problem resolution Maintain day to day responsibilities of work scheduling, quality, and interfacing with other supervisors and managers as needed to meet the production schedule Ensure that Lean principles are being applied to sustainably maximize the delivery of value to the customer Use multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at business decisions Create platforms to drive optimization and continuously improve core areas of quality, safety, delivery, cost, and employee engagement Identifies and directs implementation of improvement opportunities by securing relevant information, asking effective questions, and developing solutions Resolve problems relating to materials, operations, quality or other factors that may result in production delays Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports to manager Other duties may be assigned Basic Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent 4+ years of relative experience in leading others Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, or related field Demonstrated Leadership, Business and Financial understanding Computer, Communication, and presentation skills Lean Manufacturing background within a plant and operational managerial experience from a production/manufacturing setting Working experience in a manufacturing or warehousing/supply chain/inventory environment #LI-RC1 #LI-ONSITE Who we are: Milacron is a global leader in the manufacture, distribution and service of highly engineered and customized systems within the $27 billion plastic technology and processing industry.
