Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Attend weekly briefings with the ITT Director/Asst. Dir., ISO Team, and DTI Sec. Team if/when necessary.
  • Daily morning scrum with the security specialist team: review any observed/remediated events overnight and discuss daily tasks and any outstanding tasks needing attention.
  • Perform ongoing/scheduled scans/audits if necessary.
  • Follow up with 3rd party contractors/consultants for remediation to any known issues as instructed by the IT Security Manager.
  • Coordination of tasks with other IT Security Specialist team (ISO Team) if necessary.
  • Aid with ongoing scans/audits if necessary.
  • Interface/review/follow up with the City's CISO and IT Security Team pertaining to policies and procedures as well as any amendments pertaining to the CDA.
  • Monitor network/cybersecurity dashboards for potential threats and notify the proper contact if necessary.
  • Monitor world events pertaining to network and cybersecurity for any potential threats to the CDA/CoC.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the ITT Director/Asst. Dir., IT Security Manager, and/or executive team
Additional duties may be required for this position.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology/Systems, or a directly related field, plus two years of experience in information security, network architecture or engineering, or application development or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

NOTE: Must be flexible to early and/or late meetings and occasional weekends.
NOTE: Must be flexible to travel to Midway Airport, based on operational needs.
NOTE: This position requires a valid license at the time of hire.
NOTE: The candidates selected for hire must pass an airport background check and a Security Threat Assessment.

Preference will be given to candidates possessing the following:
  • Previous IT work experience.
  • Previous work experience in Network/Cyber Security.
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications.
