Compensation: $22.00-$24.00 Per Hour
Role Summary: We are in search of a dedicated and observant individual to become a part of our team as an Armed Security Officer. The primary duty of this position is to safeguard the premises, personnel, and assets of our clients. The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional observational skills, strong communication capabilities, and the ability to manage potentially high-pressure situations with professionalism and poise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas to deter and identify unauthorized activities.
- Monitor surveillance systems and alarm setups to detect and respond to suspicious actions or security violations.
- Perform comprehensive inspections of the property to confirm that all entry points are secure.
- React swiftly to requests for assistance or emergencies, including medical situations, disturbances, or accidents.
- Maintain detailed logs and reports documenting security incidents, disturbances, and other significant occurrences during shifts.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and clients with inquiries and directions.
- Work collaboratively with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, along with state and federal regulations, to maintain security standards and ensure compliance.
- Engage in ongoing training to enhance knowledge of security protocols, emergency response strategies, and applicable laws.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
- Must be prepared to work in an armed capacity.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as a security officer or guard.
- 40 Hour state certification and PERC Card.
- Firearm's Owners Identification Card required (FOID).
- Understanding of legal guidelines pertaining to area security and public safety.
- Familiarity with report writing.
- Excellent surveillance and observation skills.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Reliable Transportation.
- High School diploma is required; further education in security administration or a related field is preferred.
