POSITION SUMMARY:As an internal client-facing professional, the Financial/Accounting Analyst is a key position in the Administration department. The incumbent will assist in the clarification and development of process improvements and the reconciliation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reporting for the San Diego Cardiac Center (SDCC). PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary job functions required of our Financial/Accounting Analyst includes the following, but not limited to:Recording monthly journal entries into the general ledger system for assigned locationsManage month-end closing process Assist with accounts payable processing Manage close process by producing revenue reports and produce financial statementsReconcile balance sheets and cash accountsCreate monthly operation statements for locations and verify monthly financials are turned in by deadlineAssist with the preparation of other reports provided by managementPrepare analysis of financial results for multiple entities on a monthly basisCompile semi-annual productivity reports for providers, compute bonusesInput physician bonuses in payrollCommunicate problems to the CEO and/or HR Manager, as appropriateMaintain strictest confidentiality; adhere to all HIPAA guidelines/regulationsBe a team player: Identify how you might assist fellow team membersAlways represent SDCC and its staff and Providers in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner on or off propertyPerform other duties as assigned or requestedCORE COMPENTENCIES AND EXPECTATIONS: A successful Accounting Analyst will possess the necessary core competencies and meet the general expectations and position requirements, such as:Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 2+ Years of Experience in a Corporate or Public Accounting settingAbility to manage multiple assignments and meet internal financial deadlines Experience with Accounting Software package such as Sage, PeopleSoft, Quickbooks, PowerBI, etc. Strong analytical and problem solving skills Strong organizational skills Build relationships with your locations and vendors Team player and ability to work independently Understand how to read and interpret financial records and reports Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite programs Professional written and oralWORKING ENVIRONMENT:Physical demands:The position may involve sitting for long periods of time, standing, bending, and stooping. Responsibilities may also require the incumbent to travel between SDCC offices for support purposes.
