Watch our video to see our team build top-of-the-line compact track loaders.As an Fabrications Product Quality Inspector at Caterpillar you will:Job Responsibility:Completes inspections of fabrication structures and undercarriage using standard work, a checklist, and tooling provided (gauges, templates, etc.)Performs overall quality inspection at quality gates or at pre-delivery inspection.Inspects welds on the product to ensure it meets the specifications as outlined by Engineering.Identifies defects, takes pictures, and records results in the defect management system.Follows and utilizes CPS principles of 5S, Continuous Improvement Idea Reporting, Waste Elimination, and Standard Work.Physical Requirements:Lift parts up to 35 pounds individuallyOccasional bending, reaching, and squatting while performing tasksConsistent usage of required PPE for the task being performedAbility to work in an environment with frequently changing temperaturesAbility to Stand at the workstation while performing tasksBasic Qualifications:Basic Computer skillsAbility to use measuring tools and check gaugesDesired Qualification:Knowledge of Caterpillar systems ATRS (Assembly Tracking and Reliability System), PINPoint, Geneo)Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook)Previous quality, welding or fabrication experienceStarting pay:$19.60/hour (+ 8% Shift Premium)2nd Shift Schedule:Monday-Friday 2:15 PM - 10:15 PM3rd Shift Schedule:Sunday night - Friday morning 10:15 PM - 6:15 AM*Mandatory overtime required/ Scheduled in advance*Additional Information: Resumes are highly encouraged.
