Human Resources Administrator

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Human Resources Administrator in the Higher Education industry, located in Miami, Florida. This role involves managing and executing various HR-related tasks and requires a keen understanding of ADP Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, ATS, and other related skills. Responsibilities: Administer various human resources plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepare and maintain employee handbook and policies and procedures manual. Conduct recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students and temporary employees; conduct new-employee orientations; monitor career-pathing program and write and place advertisements. Perform benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, annual re-evaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness, information activities program and cash flow. Handle employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing. Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars. Assist in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed. Maintain human resource information system records and compile reports from the database. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations. Assist with employee relations investigations. Conduct audits of various payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommend any corrective action. Requirements Possess proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now Familiarity with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode, Ceridian, Concur, and About Time software Experience in auditing, conducting background checks, and handling benefit functions Understanding of compliance regulations related to human resources in higher education Knowledge of Discrimination - EEOC and Employment Discrimination laws and regulations Ability to conduct investigations and handle employee relations investigations effectively Possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion Familiarity with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred Prior experience in a similar role within the higher education industry is a plus.
