Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Position Summary: Works in collaboration with a physician to assess the physical needs of patient's medical type. NP Responsibilities: * Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians * Prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. * A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected * Typically reports to a physician * Performs other related duties as assigned * Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field * Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals * Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function * Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned NP Requirements and Minimum Qualifications: * MSN degree or higher from an accredited nurse practitioner program required * Nationally recognized as a Nurse Practitioner * Clinical experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified * Holds a current NP and RN license to practice in the state of Idaho required * BLS Required. Current AHA Healthcare provider, American Red Cross, AHA Health Saver or KH BLS during General Orientation PA Responsibilities: * Assesses, plans, and provides patient care under the supervision of a physician. * Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examinations, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination. * Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. * Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. * Performs a variety of tasks. * A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required. * Typically reports to a physician. * Performs other related duties as assigned. * Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned. PA Requirements and Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Health Science required. * Physician's Assistant Certificate of Registration with the Idaho Medical Board or is certification eligible, and is certified as a Physician's Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants required. * Qualified under the rules of the DEA for prescriptive practices required. * Qualified under CMS regulations for patient care and billing practices required. * BLS Required. Current AHA Healthcare provider, American Red Cross, AHA Health Saver or KMC BLS within 60 days of hire.
