TITLE: Senior Accountant

LOCATION: Remote

SUMMARY: The Senior Accountant role is an integral position within the Finance Department that will work under the direct supervision of the Corporate Controller. Responsibilities include general ledger accountability, journal entries, account reconciliations, financial analysis, financial reporting, and other special projects as assigned.

Responsibilities

Lead the revenue accounting function including month-end close procedures, accrual calculations, processing journal entries, preparing reconciliations, and analyzing data Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper and accurate revenue recognition per GAAP guidelines. Develop a revenue recognition policy and manage related accounting models to ensure all revenue is recognized in compliance with ASC 606 Monitor and analyze revenue trends, identifying areas for improvement and potential risks. Develop and prepare monthly revenue reports highlighting key performance metrics and opportunities for improvement. Lead monthly revenue review meetings with CFO, Corporate Controller, and Revenue Cycle Department leaders. Analyze contractual allowance and bad debt reserves and propose necessary accounting adjustments. Proactively identify areas for operational improvement Perform ad hoc analysis and investigate issues providing explanations and conclusions. Interact with auditors and provide support during internal and external audits. Develop, establish, and document new accounting processes and internal controls. Perform and assist with other duties as requested or required.

Requirements

4-6 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a corporate setting Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field required Master’s Degree and/or CPA preferred. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills & working with large volumes of transactions. Proficient in other Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) Strong data analysis skills Must have meticulous attention to detail and a desire to lead and implement process improvements. Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to work well independently, establish priorities, multi-task, and meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Requirements
