Qualifications

ROLE SUMMARY

As a Customer Service Representative at Georgia Nut Company, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional support to our valued customers and managing designated accounts under the guidance of the Customer Service Supervisor. Your responsibilities will encompass managing the daily activities of assigned accounts, including processing and overseeing sales orders. Additionally, you will engage in various cross-functional tasks such as handling purchase and sales orders transactions, reporting on production activities, and facilitating the shipment of finished goods. Your role will require regular collaboration with planning, scheduling, and production teams to ensure seamless operations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Always ensure exceptional customer engagement with assigned customers.
  • Oversee the order entry process for designated customers, including entering sales orders into Microsoft AX, verifying customer pricing, item minimum order quantities (MOQs), and item lead-time requirements.
  • Deliver timely order acknowledgments, order confirmations, and comprehensive order support to customers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex order issues, such as product availability, shipping concerns, or order modifications.
  • Regularly update customers on the status of their open orders and contract balances.
  • Fulfill customer sample requests promptly to support new business development initiatives.
  • Manage document requests, including SharePoint NPRs and CDRs, by coordinating with various internal departments for efficient processing.
  • Handle customer complaints via Salesforce, engaging with customers to fully grasp the issue and ensuring timely resolution through internal follow-up.
  • Maintain customer trade agreements and blanket agreements in AX for assigned accounts to ensure accurate pricing.
  • Maintain regular communication with Customer Service, Accounting, Purchasing, R&D, Regulatory, Production, Planning/Scheduling, Transportation, and Senior Management to meet external customer requirements and internal supply chain needs.
  • KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  • College degree.
  • 3-5 years of food manufacturing experience.
  • Strong sales and customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Comfortable working in a team-oriented environment.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Salesforce).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, including multi-tasking and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, follow-up, and attention to detail.
  • Adaptable to multiple requests, daily changes and still deliver commitments.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor suitable for a business casual office setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and resolve issues promptly.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to make well-founded decisions for the benefit of the company and its customers.
  • Knowledge of the food industry, particularly confections and snacks, or experience with distributor/retail customers is advantageous.
