Job Overview
The Senior IT Project Manager leads information technology strategies bymanaging staff; researching and implementing technological strategicsolutions for project that are large in scope and risk.
Additional Information
Department: IT PMO - Precision Medicine ProgramHours per week: 40, eligible for benefitsShift: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm. Work hours may vary depending on the needof the department. Depending on project 'go live' need, this positionmay have some weekend/holiday/on-call requirements.*This role is considered hybrid, but does have some onsite expectations tosupport the Precision Medicine Lab.
Qualifications
Education:Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance,computer science, or a directly related field.Experience:Five years of project management or business/project analystexperience.Equivalency: In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, one year of professionalexperience will serve as an equivalency to one year of education
Responsibilities

Develops comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements withcompany goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel duringall project phases, from initial development through implementation.Managesoperational workflow changes in conjunction with the technology solutions andapplications implementation
Manages the vendor selection process; develops, negotiates,implements and monitors contracts, ensuring conformance to approved plansand contract specifications.
Manage acquisition of resources and materials as needed before and duringprojects by talking with customers, team members, managers, and in-houseaccountants and negotiating price and payment agreements withvendors.Develops, implements, and monitors project budgets that a ecomplex in nature; allocates resources and tracks and approvesexpenditures; prepares reports detailing the status of the project budgetand compliance to any requirements as specified by funding sources.
Coordinates the work of consultants and team members who have been assignedresponsibility for various portions of a project; establishes work planresponsibilities and scope of authority; ensures technical proficiency andproductivity of project staff and arranges for training as necessary.
Facilitates planning meetings with stakeholders and team members to discussthe project plan, including the fit-gap analysis and proposed budget;plans and conducts project meetings; develops, maintains, and presents acommunication plan and related project status reports for key stakeholders.
