The RoleAXS is seeking a Sr Software Engineer, Kotlin to join our team. The ideal candidate enjoys and thrives in working with a variety of tools, languages, and architectures while building features and applications for our core ticketing systems. You will work on consumer-facing and B2B applications that can scale and handle high demand, as well as complex enterprise systems that meet our global needs.What Will You Do?Design and build new features and enhancements for our global ticketing platformsOptimize for user experience and performance in scaling out our applications to handle massive spikes in trafficBuild scalable modules for internal applications and external partnersCreate services that power the core of our infrastructure, implementing APIs and features for our mission critical productsWork closely with other engineers, architects, business analysts, product and project managers to create innovative solutions that continue to push the boundaries of our businessParticipate in design and code reviews to ensure best practices and high quality codeDevelop consistent, well tested code on Open Source Programming Languages and Frameworks.Work with third parties to make a seamless and integrated experience for our customers and fansWhat Will You Bring?Substantial, relevant software development experience within a professional environmentBS in Computer Science or a related technical fieldMinimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience2+ years of experience with Kotlin, with a good knowledge of the Kotlin and Java ecosystems.Understanding of cloud environments and infrastructure as codeExperience developing API services that are used by multiple systems in a cloud environment, AWS preferredExperience with building large scale high performance transactional systems and platformsExcellent communication skillsSolid technical foundation and experience with service-oriented architectures and web servicesUnderstanding of the software development life cycleAbility to execute process and standards around code quality and the deployment lifecycleExperience in working with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, SQLite, MySQL or PostgreSQLExperience mentoring less senior colleaguesProven record of learning new languages, skills and technologies quickly, with minimal guidanceTakes initiative, stays focused, always accountable.Thrives in a fast paced environment with the ability to focus on achieving the target while minding longer term goals along the wayBonus points if You HaveExperience with Android developmentExperience with Kotlin MultiplatformExperience with Git version control and GitflowExperience with TDD and/or BDDExperience in the ticketing industry, inventory management systems or e-commerceExperience defining, developing and maintaining REST-based interfaces.Pay Scale: $116,942- $140,000What's in it for You?The opportunity to make an impactExtraordinary People - we're not kiddingMeaningful Mission - Helping revolutionize an industry and deliver better experiences for fans and clients around the world.Opportunities for learning and leveling up through training and education reimbursement.This role is a FTE within AXS and unavailable as a contract position.
