Senior Environmental Health and Safety

The Senior EH&S Analyst will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, management and evaluation of comprehensive environmental, health, and safety (EH&S) programs across all ARKA facilities. This role ensures that all locations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, while fostering a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and manage environmental compliance programs while identifying and developing solutions to include financial impacts to business stakeholders to ensure operations runs consistently.
Provide strategic vision and leadership as the Environmental Specialist ensuring compliance and sustainability.
Partner with local management and leadership to certify all applicable permits, policies, procedures and regulations are compliant while staying up to date on relevant regulations.
Establish and maintain effective cross-functional relationships at all levels throughout the organization.
Responds to and investigates environmental incidents such as spills, releases, non-compliances and complaints
Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to prevent accidents and injuries. Conduct EHS Internal Audits and prepares reports for area arrangement.
Drive continuous improvement in the safety culture while working towards exceeding site-specific safety goals.
Maintain and analyze safety records and data to identify trends and areas for improvement
Develop and deliver EH&S training to employees as required.
Travel between facilities may be required, up to 25%.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, or related field
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a related field
Knowledge of current environmental, health, and safety regulations
Experience in designing and delivering safety training programs and sessions
Strong prioritization and organization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining a high degree of flexibility
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to lead and resolve daily issues
Ability to communicate and present clear, concise objectives to all levels of the organization while identifying and sharing risks and opportunities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Well versed in Microsoft Office products, advanced Excel skills required.
Certifications such as OSHA 30 and Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) are preferred
• Professional certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., CSP, CIH, NEBOSH) highly desirable.

EHS/Environmental Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate, listen to, and interpret instructions, occasionally operate tools and/or machinery with hands and arms and remain stationary for extended periods of the time. The employee will use protective equipment when working with chemicals, move between workstations, reach, and replace equipment, and move items weighing up to 25 lbs.
