**Scope of Job**:
Responsible for, but not limited to, supervising day-to-day maintenance of all rides and ride related areas. This position is classified as a working team leader position with 75% of the time in the field as a hands-on worker with responsibilities of directing the wider team. The expectation is for this role is for the person to perform the normal day to duties of a ride technician, while taking on extra responsibilities to support the Ride Maintenance Supervisors. Responsibility extends to the safety of guests and employees, which includes all aspects of ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials), Polk County and loss prevention guidelines. Works under the direction of the Rides maintenance Supervisor, as the first level of management and/or technical expertise to the ride maintenance team. The Ride Technician Team Leader is responsible for leading a team of ride technicians of different skillsets to coordinate scheduled planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks to deliver the safe operation of rides and attractions. Establish work plans to effectively achieve competence within the direct team as well as other indirect reports. Supports the overall goal of maintaining, a neat, clean, and comfortable work environment within which the customer may carry out their responsibilities with mínimal disruption due to ride-related issues and is responsible for the timely completion of assigned tasks. All functions shall be performed in accordance with the rides maintenance department and LEGOLAND Florida policies, practice and procedures.

Removes, installs, repairs and tests all electromechanical equipment of rides, animation, attractions and buildings. Performs other maintenance functions within theme park and assists other maintenance personnel as needed necessary by maintenance supervision. Troubleshooting of complex American and foreign made equipment. General Electrical, and PLC experience including VFD’s preferred.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Keeps safety as #1 priority.
- Follows established maintenance program, including any emergency repairs as required to keep down time to an acceptable minimum in all areas of rides and attractions.
- Follow through on all maintenance repairs.
- Ensures that all ride equipment and work areas are kept clean, neat, and orderly at all times.
- Ensures the security and safety of all rides by inspecting and prevention of safety hazards on all rides and attractions.
- Ensures internal compliance with maintenance, safety and security procedures by following established ASTM, NEC, state, and local electrical codes, and loss prevention guidelines.
- Operate simple machine tools, such as drill presses, power saws, grinders, etc.
- Recognizes equipment that needs repair, replacing, or adjusting.
- Keeps tools, machines, and all other company equipment in clean and good working order.
- Keeps informed and updated on modern techniques and technical methods by attending supplemental courses, seminars, conventions, etc.
- Maintain liaison with fellow maintenance employees and other departments.
- Follows LEGOLAND Florida policies and procedures at all times.
- Responds to emergency calls within theme park, expediting repairs to ensure guest and fellow Model Citizens safety and comfort at all times.
- Maintains Rides and Attractions in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health.
- Must be able to react under pressure or in an emergency in a calm and rational manner.
- A friendly, polite, customer service oriented demeanour is required.
- Mentor/train current Ride Engineer I Model Citizens on an ongoing basis

**Health & Safety**:
Employees are responsible for the safety of themselves, their colleagues and guests (where appropriate), in line with the Group Policy (HS001) and the law. In particular, they must ensure that they follow safe working procedures for all work activities that they undertake and they must not use any tools or equipment for which they have not been trained. Where incidents do occur, they must ensure that they are reported to their line manager and must cooperate with any investigation as appropriate.

**Background and Experience**:
A minimum of four years of experience in installing, maintaining, and servicing of electromechanical equipment as a technician/engineer is required. Extensive knowledge of the practices, tools, and equipment used to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain rides and other electromechanical equipment is required. Extensive knowledge of types and grades of hardware, identifying parts and use of precision equipment is required. He ability to read a micrometre, callipers and use of torque wrench is required. Possesses thorough understanding of, but not limited to, working knowledge, of all phases of electromechanical work related to overhaul, repair, and preventive maintenance of all types of ride equipment, animation, including high volume submers
