Please make sure to read through the job description below. This is a SWING shift position.
II. SUMMARY
Responsible for the management and continuous improvement of the production process to ensure finished products are produced efficiently, on schedule and meet all quality and food safety standards.
SQF Alternate for Quality Assurance Manager.
Available to workdays, swings and graveyard

III. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coach and develop subordinates to achieve key performance measures of Food Safety Food Quality.
- Responsible for managing the production process to ensure all phases of the process are operating efficiently, meeting all production schedule quantities and meeting all Company safety and quality standards.
- Coordinates with Sales and Logistics Departments to ensure inventory levels are maintained within established levels.
- Monitors and evaluates the production process to facilitate continuous improvement to reduce cost, improve product quality and overall efficiency of the operation.
- Maintains documentation and prepares reports as required to determine production efficiency, production output and track cost of production.
- Coordinates with maintenance, sanitation, quality assurance and other departments to ensure production is continuous and efficient and meets all Company expectations and is in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Coordinates with Sales and Product Development to develop new processing methods and make test runs for new products.
- Ensure all Company policies, rules, regulations and procedures are followed.
- Coordinates required meetings with employees to ensure employees are properly informed on all information related to quality, production, safety and other Company issues.
- Coordinates with Human Resources to ensure staffing is adequate and policies and procedures are followed.
- Responsible for staff development and implementation of programs to ensure efficient operation and continuous improvement of the production operation staff.
- Adheres to all Company policies and procedures and local, state and federal regulations.
- Works all shifts as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.

IV. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
- Communicate effectively - Speak, Read & Write in English
- Must have ability to move around operations area and outside facilities to perform job functions.
- Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.
- Perform all assigned responsibilities.

V. QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor Degree in related field (preferred)
- Must have experience with Potato Food Processing of Salty snacks.
- Potato Procurement, Potato Farm interactions and contracting: and Plant expansion and growth with Quality and Efficiency.

Academic/Credentials/Certifications
- None specified

Length of experience
- 5 to 7 years of management experience in manufacturing in a food processing operation
- 3 to 5 years of experience with direct supervision of hourly employees in a manufacturing operation

Specialized skills/technical knowledge
- Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, regulations and procedures in the food processing industry.
- Working knowledge of OSHA and food safety regulations.
- Computer skills: Proficient with Excel, Word and Outlook
