**Company Overview**:
**Position Purpose**:
The Reconditioning Advisor is a vital member of our equipment reconditioning team. The Reconditioning Advisor plays a crucial role in evaluating, documenting, and estimating repairs required for class 8 tractors and trailers as they are returned from lease. This individual has a keen eye for accurately assessing damaged equipment and a collaborative mindset to work closely with our internal team in achieving common goals.

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Continuously learn, share, and implement improvements in all processes and responsibilities as needed to enhance effectiveness of providing world class service and support.
- Take ownership of the reconditioning inspection and repair estimate process for assigned equipment.
- Be responsible for the accurate inspection and documentation of off-lease equipment.
- Determine the feasibility of repair versus replacement of parts, such as bumpers, fenders, and doors.
- Balance the totality of repairs with the vehicle's current market value to ensure a return on repair dollars.
- Create a reconditioning labor and parts estimate to meet TEL standards.
- Develop a proper and accurate repair plan via Karmak repair order that reflects the repair plan.
- Maintain the company’s standards for ethical business practices, professional image, orderliness, customer service, and good employee and community relations.
- Oversee and participate in quality control of the repair and repair order accuracy.
- Participate in the development and documentation of Standard Operating Procedures as appropriate.
- Fulfill other responsibilities as required to meet business needs.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- Trailer repair experience.
- Demonstrate the ability to build and maintain collaborative and effective cross-functional working relationships.
- Take ownership of assigned work projects.
- Exhibit strong time management and record-keeping abilities.
- Demonstrate the ability to concentrate and accomplish tasks despite interruptions.
- Multitask effectively, performing a variety of tasks simultaneously.
- Possess a working knowledge of the AdjustRite estimating system (helpful but not required).
- Possess a working knowledge of the Mitchell 1 estimating system (helpful but not required).
- Preferably, have accredited training in estimating skills, customer satisfaction, and quality control.
- Preferably, have experience in heavy-duty truck estimating.
- Proficiently use computers and business machines.
- Collaborate effectively as a team player.

**Work Environment**:

- General office setting within body shop environment
- Extended periods of sitting required
- Standing for long periods of time
- Ability to Stoop and Bend
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

**Wage**:
$60,000 + annually, based on experience.
