**Job description**

Certified Healthcare Billing seeks a highly skilled and motivated Medical Collection Specialist to join our esteemed team. **Responsibilities**:

- Effectively manage and follow up on outstanding medical accounts receivable.
- File appeals and Disputes on denied claims
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of medical billing codes, insurance policies, and regulations for successful resolution
- Communicate professionally with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers to address collection issues
- Analyze and interpret explanation of benefits (EOB) and remittance advice for accurate account reconciliation
- Stay abreast of changes in healthcare regulations and insurance industry practices

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Medical Collections
- Proficient in medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR)
- Knowledge of medical billing codes (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS)
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in account reconciliation
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Previous experience in a certified healthcare billing role is advantageous
