**Position Summary**: Operating under moderate supervision, the Donations Center Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the smooth operation of the store. In addition, he/she will assist with the receipt, storage, and organization of donations in other storage areas. Hours are Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 9 am to 2pm. Non-smoking facility

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the Following**:
Provide a welcoming and inviting atmosphere to participants and staff in the store.

Offer excellent customer service to participants as they secure basic needs items in store.

Offer excellent customer service and trustworthy stewardship to volunteers and donors.

Cultivate relationships with volunteers and donors who contribute to the donation center. Ensure continuity and sustainability by engaging them to continually grow the donations center.

**Fulfilling participant needs - serving participants**:
Warmly receive all participants and staff by offering assistance in locating and selecting needed items.

Select emergency items needed at our Jacquelyn location and ensure delivery of the items on the day requested.

Enlist participants and staff for support and participation.

Accepting and Processing Donations - serving donors

Greet in-kind donors at designated entrance and accept their items for donation. Receive and secure donations (with assistance from RA staff).

Create receipt with all pertinent information completed on the In-Kind Donor Form. Retain copy of receipt for Senior Director of Community engagement for records

Process all incoming donations; inspect items for health/safety. Sort, store, hang or display all items received as soon as possible in designated areas ensuring rotation of season items as needed.

Remove unessential items from those kept and regularly move from the store to designated area for disposal.

**Coordinating individual and group volunteers - serving volunteers**:
Work in close contact with supervisor to lead individuals and groups serving the store. These volunteers will be selected and assigned by the Senior Director of Community Engagement and their schedules and needs will be communicated for a smooth handover.

Receive all store volunteers in the lobby to assist with warm welcome and sign-in. Ensure that the volunteers sign in and out of hours log sheet, ensure each volunteer has a lanyard, has appropriate attire including close-toed shoes. Escort them to the store. Returning individual volunteers can sign in independently, but never a group.

Work closely with both individuals and groups to assist in sorting, organizing and displaying available clothing and storage procedures as needed.

Supervise volunteer participation ensuring safety and cleanliness in the area worked. Create enough tasks that will keep each volunteer efficiently working for their assigned period.

**General Procedures**:
Provide inventory and audit control of store items and ensure information is up to date.

Track items given to participants and staff, keeping records up to date. Include names, permissions, program name, date and size of each item.

Assist with groups of volunteers and participant activities/events outside the store as assigned.

Work closely with supervisor to identify needs for both soft items and supplies for the store. Notify low stock of all items.

Attend meetings, seminars and trainings as required.

**Qualifications**:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Current CPR certification, mental health first aid, ANE, PIAB during the orientation period.

Specific vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception is necessary. The employee must have the ability to focus, write and remain calm.
