**POSITION TITLE**:**Marketing Assistant**

**REPORTS TO**:**DIRECTOR OF MARKETING**

***:The marketing assistant will provide general marketing support to the marketing department which includes Palmer Square retail and restaurant tenants, the Nassau Inn hotel and the Residences at Palmer Square. This position works in a team environment to achieve marketing department goals and calls for an energetic, forward thinking and detail oriented individual.

**Job Description**:

- Provide administrative support for all Marketing team campaigns, projects, reports and events.
- Prepare reports and spreadsheets using data pulled from marketing campaigns.
- Prepare purchase orders and process invoices for the marketing department.
- Maintain event files including but not limited to, vendor participation, door prize donations, event RSVP etc.
- Perform simple website and online updates such as menus, photos and links.
- Maintain all photo files, internal libraries, permissions, online galleries etc.
- Assist with communications as needed such as creating eblast’s to go out to our data base, sending memos, creating and distributing weekly what’s happening sheets etc.
- Proof-read all press releases and outgoing marketing materials.
- Coordinate marketing meetings and presentations.
- Provide administrative and general marketing support to the marketing department.

Knowledge/Skills:

- Have the ability to work on multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Must be detail oriented and able to organize and prioritize.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft office, and strong Excel knowledge a must.
- Experience in Word Press preferred.

Job Requirements:

- Administrative experience preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of the retail or hospitality industry is a plus.
- Some night and weekend hours required.
- Must be passionate about the work, have great energy, a sense of humor and an open mind
