**Civil Litigation Paralegal**

Our Litigation Paralegals partner with our attorneys in managing our civil insurance defense work. This is a new position and additional paralegal support for our growing legal team. The new Litigation Paralegal will support two attorneys who will depend on the Litigation Paralegal to:

- Calendar hearing dates and filing deadlines with the courts
- Draft pleadings and discovery requests and responses
- Create and maintain discovery indexes, organize case files, analyze documents for production, etc.
- Review a high volume of documents and assist in document productions and discovery.
- Prepare for trial by producing, compiling, organizing, and indexing various evidentiary exhibits; marks and identifies trial exhibits and drafts a list of exhibits to be offered by trial.
- Draft pleadings and discovery requests and responses legal files and interact with clerks of court, process services
- Collaborate with attorneys and other team members
- Handle electronic filing and serving of pleading motions
- Make diary entries
- Conduct research and independently draft answers
- Assist with scheduling
- May perform a range of tasks including but not limited to the preparation of medical chronologies, narrative summaries, charts, tables, graphs, or other visual aids to be used at motion hearings and trial.
- Daily client contact and communicating with the courts and opposing counsel as needed.
- Support our attorneys throughout the pre-trial, trial and settlement processes.

**Qualifications**:

- 2 - 5 years litigation experience, civil litigation experience preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent litigation paralegal experience
- Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Commitment to integrity, excellence, and the highest standards of ethics
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize competing demands and meet various deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to professionally interact and collaborate with colleagues at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Detail-oriented, able to prioritize and manage time efficiently.
- Able to work with a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with eFiling, scheduling and calendaring
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.

This full-time position will be based out of our Boston, MA office.
