**LEAD WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE**

Service Metal is a rapidly growing, nationwide Master Distributor of industrial pipe fittings, valves, and flanges. We are hiring a Lead Warehouse Associate to join our growing company and be an integral part of developing our Warehouse in Houston.

**This is for the 2nd Shift Operations.**

**JOB SUMMARY**:
This is a full-time, hourly position, with daily attendance required at our Houston Warehouse. _This is for 2nd shift, and comes with a premium, which is an additional $1.50 an hour added to the base hourly wage._

The Lead Warehouse Associate directly monitors the daily operations of the warehouse while servicing internal and external customers.

**Duties**:

- Assist the Warehouse Manager by providing "on-the-floor" leadership and direction to Warehouse Associates.
- Work along with the Logistics Coordinator and Manager to create picklists for order pickers utilizing Produmex WMS.
- Daily collaboration with Shipping/Receiving Lead to ensure Warehouse Associates are allocated to maintain shipping and receiving service levels.
- Effectively communicates issues or concerns to the Warehouse Manager.
- Ensure warehouse associates are properly trained and follow standard operating procedures for accuracy in warehouse transactions.
- Retrieves inventory by locating and verifying materials, stacking and securing materials on pallets.
- Loading pallets and boxes for shipment.
- Stocks inventory with great attention to detail.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
- Uses Forklifts to accomplish many of the above goals. Forklift training will be provided if needed.
- May be called upon for other duties as needed.

- Ability to lift 50-75 lbs.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop and kneel to perform daily tasks.
- Willing to work overtime as needed.

**Preferred Skills**:

- 2+ years of Lead experience
- 2+ years of RF and barcode scanner experience (ERP software, WMS software, TMS software)
- 2+ years of forklift experience
- Knowledge of Pipe fittings, Valves and Flanges (PVF)

This is a full-time hourly position and Service Metal wants to compensate you for your hard work and experience. We value your input on our team. We offer a 401K retirement plan with a 3.5% match from the company. We also offer participation in a profit-sharing plan, with a discretionary company contribution, after the first year.

We offer a PTO allowance program, and it is earned weekly from the first day. We also have paid holidays, a floating holiday, and paid parental leave.
