The Peer Recovery Support Specialist plays a vital role in our community-based recovery initiation model, identifying individuals struggling with substance use and/or mental health issues. You will bring client-centered, self-directed recovery pathways and support choices directly to our clients. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing peer support services to individuals seeking recovery from substance use and/or mental health challenges
- Establishing supportive relationships built on rapport, engagement, hope, and trust
- Assessing needs and connecting clients to appropriate recovery resources and services
- Developing individualized recovery plans and safety plans
- Assisting with crisis management and de-escalation tactics when needed
- Providing ongoing follow-up and continued support for sustained recovery
- Documenting client interactions and reporting to clinical team members
- Coordinating with an interdisciplinary team for comprehensive care
**Who is right for this position**
**Required Qualifications**
- High school diploma/GED
- Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS), Community Health Worker (CHW), or CAPRC certification preferred
- Lived experience and personal recovery journey
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate company vehicles
- Proficiency with technology and capable of working in a team environment
**Hours & Pay**
Full and part-time positions available, hours vary depending on specific job functions
Competitive compensation based on certification level and experience. Example range:
- $16 - $18 per hour
