**Days/Hours**:Monday - Friday; 8:30 AM - 5 PM
**Pay**:$23.00 - $28.74

Salaries vary depending on experience, education and current market for the position. Human Resources determines the external and internal equitable salary for each employee.
**Responsibilities**:
**SUMMARY**: The incumbent under general supervision and according to established policies &procedures is responsible for accurately and efficiently answering and scheduling patient appointments. Requires a high-level problem solving and analytical skills with the highest ethical standards. The incumbent must be self-directed and self-motivated and able to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a high level of productivity and accuracy.
**Job Duties & Essential Functions**:
- Review various EMRs to review notes, insurance and form folders to assist in resolving patient inquiries.
- Conduct insurance verification.
- Handle high volume of patient telephone calls.
- Provide customer service to patients.
- Demonstrate courteous and professional behavior when dealing with patients.
- Document and take appropriate action for all telephone calls in billing system.
- Resolve patient inquiries or escalate for solution.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
**Required Education & Qualifications**:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Three (3) years of customer service/call center experience. In lieu of this requirement, will accept two years of medical billing related experience or graduation from a medical billing program.
- Must have excellent expressive and written communication skills
- Must be highly organized
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
- Heavy telephone experience.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Computer literate with knowledge of medical insurance policies, reimbursement and medical terminology.
- Experience with insurance websites.
**Physical Demands**:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with patients, staff and medical providers. The employee must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. This position is largely sedentary and requires the employee to remain stationary for a majority of the day. Any additional physical demands will be outlined and provided by management.
