- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to lift and/or move tires weighing between 30-250 lbs
- The service technicians job is to perform tire service and repair work as well as basic general service functions on Fleet vehicles (all sizes), fleet inspections, assist with scrap tires and other duties as required
- Conducts routine Tire Fleet Checks, Includes Tire Inflation, Tread Depths, Identify Flats, irregular tread wear and the needs for repair or replacement of tires
- Mount and dismount tires, remove and install complete tire and wheel
- Prepare used tire/wheel rim inventory by dismounting/mounting used tires to be used as needed for future replacements
- Preferred Ability to drive a service truck (F-250) to an onsite location where equipment is broken down
- Perform or assist with Emergency Road Call tire repairs as needed
- Document repairs and new tire usage using a computer system
- Preferred experience of 1-2 years industry related.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations pertaining to tread depth measurements for commercial vehicles tire positions
- Maintain and use of basic power and hand tools including heavy-duty tire gun
- Tire Technician skills are typically acquired through previous hands-on experience in the field working
- Work with tire TPMS (Tire Pressure Management System)
- Ability to work independently with little supervision, escalate issues pertaining to equipment and take direction
- Responsible for safe operation of company vehicles including compliance with speed and traffic regulations
- Participates in training, follows safety procedures, job duties and company policies
- Able to work Saturdays or Sundays and OT to accommodate operational needs when needed
