**Duties**:

- Serve as Construction Control Representative with project lead and Contracting Officer Representative responsibilities for job site construction control of contract work.
- Monitor field engineering projects, construction inspection and/or construction management duties involving the erection of a new structure, the installation of equipment and systems.
- Manage the alteration or major repair of an existing structure and other contract types to include supplies and services.

**Conditions of Employment**:

- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
- Due to the nature of this position, employees are required to work both planned and unscheduled overtime.
- The employee must possess or have the ability to possess certification as Contracting Officer Representative (COR).
- This position requires the employee to use personal protective equipment provided by the employer.

**Qualifications**:

- Priority Placement Program, DoD Retained Grade Preference Eligible (PPP DoD RG)- **Specialized Experience**: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Reviewing plans and specifications during planning and design stages; 2) Experience with contract construction projects AND 3) experience with inspecting engineering projects for conformance to contracts and/or designs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
- You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

- Building and Construction
- Contract Management
- Quality Management
- Technical Competence

**Education**:
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this position, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

**Additional information**:

- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
