Job overview

Key responsibilities:

- Collaborate with a team that includes the student, educational representative(s), counselor, and support staff to provide a well-rounded educational experience.
- Learn and effectively utilize the provided curriculum and all platforms to teach and support students through their assigned courses.
- Monitor benchmark testing, and progress from provided platforms including interventions for students in need of additional support.
- Maintain legally compliant and timely reporting materials within the student information system and as required to provide to educational representatives throughout the school year, including work samples, report cards, progress reports, and course updates.
- Meet with students during their appointment times providing effective lessons, guidance, feedback, and support.
- Participate in staff meetings, additional promotional events outside of work hours, support students and participate in various clubs and activities on site during work hours.
- Maintain an accurate filing system or caseload of students, courses, work, and additional documents as needed.
- Formulate and teach lessons in various topics to support students' grade level standards.
- Prepare students for state testing, and ensure students complete all of their testing.
- Maintain an 80% attendance record.
- Ensure students are making progress through their courses in a timely manner.
- Must be energetic, driven, smart, hard-working, and dedicated.
- Clear background with fingerprinting required for educational environment.

Position requirements:

- Experience: Completed credential program and holds valid teaching credential. Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience preferred..
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of classroom management, record keeping, student information system, Google Suite, word, excel, and ability to learn and effectively use various teaching and intervention platforms.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, good collaboration, and excellent communication skills.
- Physical Ability: Sit for long periods of time in order to work with students.
- Transportation: Must be able to be at work daily in-person.
- Background Check: Clear background check with fingerprinting required for working in an educational environment.

Qualification:

- BA degree and completion of teaching program preferred
- Two years of teaching experience is preferred.
- Holds and maintains a valid CA teaching credential.
- Good collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to learn and implement Taylion’s policies and procedures.

Pay Range:
65,000.00 - 75,000.00/yr + benefits

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
