Location: Victorville, CA & Adelanto, CA
Overview:
The Learning Center Coordinator position at Taylion High Desert Academy is pivotal in providing high-quality management and oversight of the daily operations of Taylion’s learning centers. Reporting to Taylion’s Principal and school leadership team, the Learning Center Coordinator will establish and maintain a positive and safe school environment supporting students, staff, and the community. The Learning Center Coordinator will engage with local organizations, leaders, and K-12 school leaders to foster partnerships in support of student learning and success.
**Responsibilities**:
- Daily Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school campus, including work schedules, timekeeping, and adherence to ethical conduct standards.
- Personnel Recruitment: Facilitate and/or participate in recruitment and hiring strategies to ensure the hiring of qualified staff members.
- Staff Onboarding: Support the orientation and onboarding activities for new staff members to ensure a smooth transition into their roles.
- Supervision and Evaluation: Directly supervise, observe, support, and evaluate non-instructional staff members according to organizational guidelines and standards. These positions will be assigned to the Learning Center Coordinator by Taylion’s Principal/Lead Administrator.
- Effective Communication: Maintain clear and responsive communication with students, staff, parents, and the local community.
- Representational Duties: Serve as a representative of Taylion High Desert Academy within the local and surrounding communities through sponsorships, memberships, and participation in relevant activities/events.
- Community Engagement: Actively engage with local schools, community organizations, events, and civic memberships to promote the joint school site effort and build positive relationships.
- Promote Technology Integration: Encourage the effective use of technology in teaching and learning processes to enhance educational outcomes.
- Data Management: Familiarity with various data and reporting tools such as Student Information Systems (SIS), Learning Management Systems (LMS), curriculum & assessment portals and tools to support decision-making processes of school leadership.
- Foster a Positive School Climate & Culture: Promote a safe, fair, and equitable learning environment conducive to student success.
- Support School Growth & Improvement: Assist in the implementation of school improvement efforts related to community engagement, student success, and staff development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
- Experience in management, leadership, community engagement, or related fields
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Knowledge of technology and data management systems
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive school and work culture
- Familiarity with educational policies and practices
- Demonstrated ability to manage personnel and oversee daily operations effectively
