Development Associate

The **Development Associate** is responsible for assisting with annual fundraising efforts for affiliate organizations of the Kinexion Network.
- Hours for this position can be either 8a-4p or 9a-5p._

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Connotes Essential Functions

**Foundation**:

- Assist the Senior Director of Development with the coordination, and implementation of affiliate fundraising programs including but not limited to direct mail campaigns and special events.
- Serve as the direct liaison with employees and the community for fundraising/donations.
- Work under the direction of the Senior Director of Development to develop strategies to cultivate and solicit donors for annual giving.
- Provide support to fundraising committees in prospect identification and cultivation, training, solicitation, and stewardship.
- Work with the Donor Relations Database Coordinator to maintain and update donor records in the database and add notes on meetings, relationships, and interests of donors.
- Assist with e-communication as it pertains to fundraising.
- Support the Chief Development Officer and Senior Director of Development as needed.
- Keep the Chief Development Officer and Senior Director of Development informed of all pertinent information.
- All other duties as assigned.

**Position Requirements and Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree
- Five years’ experience in fundraising industry preferred
- Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Ability to handle all responsibilities with the highest level of confidentiality
- Thorough knowledge of principles of effective communications and publicity, advertising, policies, educations, community relations, and social service
- Demonstrated knowledge and expertise of fundraising software, social media platforms and digital marking channels
- Valid NYS Drivers License
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Pay: $50,000.00 per year
