Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Surgical Services and his or her designee, the Manager of Sterile Processing is an actively licensed/certified Sterile Processing Technician who is responsible for overseeing operational resources by planning, organizing and providing sterile processing services for the OR and other departments. He/she fosters a supportive, professional environment for staff. The Manager identifies the abilities and interests of employees and encourages professional growth. Responsible for overseeing inventory control: ordering of supplies, instruments maintenance: care and processing and repair. Responsible for implementation of staffing patterns, work schedules and call schedules. Participates in budget planning and implementation and provides ongoing in-service to staff members..
**Qualifications**
Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited Certified Sterile Processing Technician program.
Minimum Experience/Skills: A minimum of five (5) years in an acute care setting, three years (3) in the Perioperative Services area.
License/Certificates/Credentials: Sterile Processing Technician, Sterile Processing Technician Supervisor, preferred
Physical Demands: Frequent standing/walking. Lift/position up to 50 lbs. Push/pull up to 50 lbs of force. Reaching, stooping, bending, crouching, manual dexterity and mobility, ability to move quickly, touch, auditory and visual perception and acuity, adequate vocal pitch and volume.
Vision Requirements: Ability to adjust vision sufficiently to perform position accountabilities
Pay range: $35.32 - $54.75 hourly
Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience
