**Buyer [Purchasing Agent]**

RVS, a wholly owned subsidiary of EVAPCO, Inc., is an industry leading manufacturer of pressure vessels and vessel package systems used in the Industrial Refrigeration and Industrial Process industries.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Verifies material requirements for manufacturing and manages stocking strategies for inputs.
- Serves as a liaison between Materials & Production concerning materials and production processes.
- Process production orders utilizing drawing BOMs
- Work closely with the Production department to identify deficiencies in requirements and amend planning prior to production.
- Provides purchasing planning and inventory control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data trends.
- Support team initiatives as defined by Purchasing Manager.
- May negotiate the pricing level of some locally sourced items.
- Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price; forwards orders to vendors/suppliers; monitors and expedites orders.
- Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves any errors with supplier; forwards receiving documentation for payment.
- May take direction from Senior Buyer/Planner.
- Utilize Evapco Quality Control systems to report NCR’s and conduct Root Cause Analysis.

**Position Requirements**:

- Associate degree, or equivalent of 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Must have strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- The ability to multi-task, prioritize commitments, manage time effectively and work independently to meet time sensitive deadlines.
- Must be detailed oriented, possess excellent organizational skills, and can work independently with a moderate level of supervision.
- Self-motivated, capable of seeking quality solutions and continuously focusing on process improvements, while keeping the needs of the business in the forefront.
- Team player, with excellent communication skills, providing proactive support of team members and shares best practices/knowledge.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint, ERP systems (Sage100, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
