Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our premises, employees, and visitors. This is a vital position that requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.

**Duties**:

- Patrol assigned areas and monitor surveillance equipment to detect and prevent unauthorized activities
- Conduct regular security checks of the premises to ensure all doors, windows, and gates are secure
- Respond promptly to alarms and investigate disturbances
- Provide assistance to employees and visitors by answering questions, providing directions, and addressing concerns
- Monitor and control access points to the premises
- Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of any security-related incidents
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property
- Perform first aid or CPR if necessary until medical professionals arrive
- Utilize conflict management techniques to deescalate potentially volatile situations

**Skills**:

- Valid security certificate or license required
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and CPR certification preferred
- Experience in law enforcement or military background is a plus
- Strong surveillance skills with the ability to operate CCTV systems effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations with composure
- Attention to detail and strong observation skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Pay: $18.00 - $21.24 per hour
