Assistant General Manger

Descanso Modern Taqueria celebrates the authentic flavors and recipes of the street food of Central West Mexico and presents them in an elegant, full-service setting. Concept creator Rob Arellano pulled from his own Mexican heritage to create a never-before-seen restaurant experience rooted in nostalgia and comfort, that speaks to how we live and eat today. Our guests come face to face with a Taquero, or Taco Chef, as regional classics are made to order in a lively setting that brings in the smells, sounds and energy of a bustling Mexican town.
- A minimum of 3 years of restaurant management experience in upscale or casual elegant settings, with at least 1 year of experience in an Assistant General Manager role.
- Working knowledge of culinary and beverage concepts. Experience with Mexican cuisine and craft cocktails is a plus.
- Proficiency with editing and utilizing word processing documents and spreadsheets.
- Strong financial acumen with demonstrable ability to analyze cost and sales reports and financial statements.
- An even temperament with a strong focus on collaboration and accountability
- Strong organizational and communication skills
