- Salary range: $72,774.00 - $83,690.00The NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) enriches the environment and protects public health for all New Yorkers by providing 1.1 billion gallons of high quality drinking water, managing wastewater and stormwater, and reducing air, noise, and hazardous materials pollution. DEP is the largest combined municipal water and wastewater utility in the country, with nearly 6,000 employees. DEP's water supply system is comprised of 19 reservoirs and 3 controlled lakes throughout the system’s 2,000 square mile watershed that extends 125 miles north and west of the City.

Minimum Qualifications2. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and five years of satisfactory full-time computer software experience as described in "1" above; or

Preferred SkillsStrong, demonstrated knowledge in the following areas: - Geographic Information Systems (GIS): At least two (2) years of satisfactory, full-time experience using Geographical Information Systems (GIS) in at least one (1) of the following capacities: maintenance of geospatial data, spatial analysis, map production, and/or supporting an organization’s operations one (1) year of which must have been spent supervising GIS resources and managing or overseeing GIS tasks and/or GIS projects.- 55a ProgramThis position is also open to qualified persons with a disability who are eligible for the 55-a Program.
