Director of Programs

The Director of Programs oversees the development, implementation, and evaluation of all programs within SALEF. This key leadership role ensures that SALEF programs align with the organization's mission, goals, and strategic plan. The Director of Programs will lead a team of program managers and coordinators, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve high standards of service delivery and impact on the community.
Key Responsibilities:
**Program Development and Management**:
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Executive Director and senior management to develop strategic goals and objectives for programs.
- Program Design: Lead the design and development of new programs and the enhancement of existing programs to meet community needs and organizational goals.
- Implementation: Oversee the implementation of all programs, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Evaluation: Develop and manage program evaluation processes to assess effectiveness and impact, using data to inform improvements.
**Team Leadership and Development**:
- Leadership: Provide leadership, direction, and support to program staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Supervision: Supervise program managers and coordinators, support in conducting regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support professional development.
- Training: Identify training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities for program staff.
**Financial and Administrative Management**:
- Grants Management: Support in overseeing the management of program-related grants, including reporting, compliance, and communication with funders.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular program expenditure reports for the Executive Director.
**Community Engagement and Partnership Building**:
- Support Community Engagement: Act as a liaison between the organization and community stakeholders, building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Support Partnerships: Develop and manage partnerships with other organizations, government agencies, and community groups to enhance program delivery and impact.
- Advocacy: Represent the organization at community events, meetings, and other forums to advocate for program needs and objectives.
**Other Duties**:
- Policy Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of organizational policies and procedures.
- Innovation: Stay informed about trends and best practices in the field, integrating innovative approaches into program design and delivery.
- Miscellaneous: Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
**Education**:
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
**Experience**:
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a nonprofit program role, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership position.
- Proven track record in program development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Demonstrated experience in budget management and grant writing/management.
**Skills**:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and program management software.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people.

**Work Environment**:

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
