Fusion Transport is a rapidly growing warehouse provider and logistics management company. We have an immediate need for a competent Billing Specialist to join our team. As a Billing Specialist you will have a key role in our accounting department and have responsibility for a variety of financial and non-financial tasks.

The main objective of the Billing Specialist will be to help guarantee the company accurately bills and receives payments on time from our ever-growing list of customers. You will be responsible for processing incoming payments along with the issuing of necessary paperwork.

This is a full-time position located in Piscataway, NJ. We offer a comprehensive compensation package that includes competitive wages, medical, dental, vision, disability, paid time off, and 401k.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- ** Billing Management**: Generate invoices accurately and efficiently based on warehouse activities, including shipments, receiving, and inventory movements.
- ** Data Entry**: Enter billing information into the company's database or billing system with precision and timeliness.
- ** Documentation**: Maintain organized records of billing transactions, including invoices, receipts, and other relevant documents.
- ** Verification**: Verify the accuracy of billing data and resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise.
- ** Communication**: Collaborate closely with warehouse staff, supervisors, and accounting departments to ensure smooth billing processes and address any billing-related inquiries.
- ** Customer Service**: Provide excellent customer service by promptly responding to billing inquiries and addressing customer concerns related to billing matters. Assist warehouse staff with minor payroll or HR related issues.
- ** Reporting**: Prepare regular reports on billing activities, trends, and performance metrics for management review.
- ** Compliance**: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to billing and invoicing.
- ** Continuous Improvement**: Identify opportunities for process improvements in billing procedures and contribute to the implementation of best practices.

**Billing Specialist requirements and qualifications**
- ** Educational Background**: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
- ** Experience**: Prior work in warehouse or logistics industry is required.
- ** Technical Skills**: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with billing software or ERP systems (specifically Synapse).
- ** Attention to Detail**: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and billing processes.
- ** Organizational Skills**: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- ** Communication**: Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across teams and departments.
- ** Problem-Solving**: Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- ** Adaptability**: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- ** Team Player**: Strong team player with a positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues as needed.
- ** Integrity**: High level of integrity and ethical standards in handling sensitive billing information and financial transactions.
