Responsibilities for Laboratory Assistant
THIS JOB IS FOR PART TIME 5 DAYS PER WEEK MONDAY-FRIDAY AND OCCASIONAL WEEKEND DAY.
- Receive and process food and beverage samples. Prep testing materials as needed.
- Perform quality control and maintain calibration of equipment.
- Maintain equipment in proper working order and maintain a clean work area
- Practice safe work habits, including complying with all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations
Qualifications for Laboratory Assistant
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, associate's or Bachelor's degree in a scientific field preferred
- 1-2 years of experience working in a lab desired but not required.
- Computer skills: knowledge of Microsoft Office and other relevant computer programs
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to perform physical work such as moving and lifting equipment, standing for long periods of time, etc.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 28 - 35 per week
