**Description**:

- Part and Full Time positions 7 Eveinings/Nights a week, including holidays
- Location: Rockville, MD and Silver Spring, MD
- Protection Service
- This position reports first to a Security Supervisor or Security Manager

**Responsibilities**:

- Officers are responsible for maintaining the security and safety of the facility and specifically their assigned post during their watch.
- Officers must be vigilant of suspicious activities and persons taking appropriate actions in ensuring the safety and security of the facility.
- Officers must also be able to write and or use reporting software.
- They must be able to perform their essential job functions, to include daily patrols and functions without bias or discrimination.
- Must submit to fingerprinting, FBI and State criminal history checks and or/ background investigations.

**Must have excellant skills in de-escalation.**

**Required**:

- Protection Officers must have at least a high school diploma, GED or equivalent experience as a security officer (10 years).
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to acquire a Special Police Officer Commission from the State of Maryland within one year of appointment.

**Preferred**:

- Ten years of Security experience

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Military: 2 years (required)
- Law enforcement: 4 years (required)

License/Certification:

- MARYLAND GUARD CARD OR SPO CERTIFICATION (required)
