We are looking for a reliable, experienced full-time kennel associate. We are looking for someone that can show great independence and work ethic. Punctuality and dependability are a must in this position. This person will be a detailed oriented person who is reliable, promotes healthy teamwork, a team player, and LOVES animals. This person will have kennel techs administrative duties, as well as office duties.

They will be great communicators, and proficient in customer service. Animal/kennel experience is required.

Some of the specific tasks are but not limited to:

- Checking the welfare of each animal in our care.
- Responsible for kennel cleanliness and maintenance.
- Taking dogs out to the yard for their daily walk.
- Cleaning kennels and runs.
- Maintaining a clean facility.
- Administering meds for cats and dogs.
- Feeding the dogs and cats.
- Letting management know when we need supplies.
- Reporting anything that needs repair/attention.

As a lead in the business this person will be asked to open and/or close from time to time. We are looking for a person that is passionate about animals and is willing to make them feel at home. They will also be comfortable with rescues.

We need a person that is willing to make a difference in their lives, regardless of temperament, from well behaved dogs to those with fear or trauma.

They will work closely with the office/kennel manager and kennel supervisor, with dutties such as but not limited to:

- Covering front office.
- Checking in and checking out customers.
- Answering phone calls and booking reservations.
- And other things as they arise.

Must be available for weekdays, weekends, and holidays and have reliable transportation.

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week

Day range:

- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Shift:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift

Work setting:

- In-person

**Experience**:

- Kennel: 1 year (required)
- Animal care: 1 year (required)
- Dog handling: 1 year (required)

Ability to Commute:

- Cypress, TX 77429 (preferred)
