**Position Focus**:

- The Associate Director 2 for the Biological and Biomedical Sciences (BBS) / Molecular Cell Biology, Genetics and Development (MCGD) Track provides strategic direction and leadership for a range of policies and processes relating to students, academic records, data and security, enrollment policies and procedures, and improvement of student systems, processes, and services in support of the university’s academic mission. Reporting directly to the Lead Administrator and dually to the faculty co-directors, the Associate Director oversees registration, scheduling, and academic records functions for the BBS/MCGD Track, and provides support and coordination around systems and policies to the Registrars in the track.
- Responsibilities include maintaining confidentiality and security of student academic records and compliance with academic policies, including budget oversight. The Associate Director demonstrates inclusive operational guidance, and is responsible for creating an educational vision, establishing and maintaining policy, and implementing best practices that enhance service to all constituents, uphold the integrity of academic programs, and serve a diverse and growing academic community. The Associate Director oversees 3 Registrars during the Student Recruitment process and builds a culture of belonging through training and thoughtful supervision. The Associate Director is responsible for educating students through programs and seminars such as the Research Skill / Ethics course and facilitating teaching, student learning, and academic staff support via excellent service, training, and tools. Other responsibilities include student outreach, establishing/maintaining an online social media presence and other assignments assigned by the Track Directors.

**Essential Duties**

**Required Education and Experience**
- Ph.D. degree in a biology discipline and two years of relevant experience.

- Well-organized, ability to prioritize, strong attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
