Facilities Assistant

Overview:
The role of Facilities Maintenance Assistant is a part-time, non-exempts role, based on a 24 hour work week. Hours will be flexible Monday through Fridayas agreed to by the you and the Facilities Manager. In this role you will perform repair and other project work under the supervision of the Facilities Manager that include, but are not limited to pool, irrigation and building maintenance, painting, general repairs and other duties.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience supporting property maintenance preferred, but will consider all applicants with similar experience
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Able to follow direction and proactively support Facilities Manager
- Be self-motivating and solve issues independently or for larger concerns, notify the Facilities Manager in order to quickly resolve
- Have a natural customer service attitude when interacting with owners, guests and renters

**Physical Demands**:
Tasks in support of the Facilities Manager require you to be able to:

- Lift heavy objects such as full propane tanks for outdoor grill, lifting and maneuvering ladders, lifting items such as bags of mulch in support of landscaping needs, lifting bags of pea gravel to spread in carport areas
- Ability to climb a ladder (up to 25 feet), from time to time to check and clean building gutters
- Support Facilities Manager with other project work which may involve various physical demands

**Benefits**:

- Paid vacation days (5 days) and paid Federal holidays (10 days; can be substituted for “vacation days” or “sick leave”)
- Annual Bonus - Performance based and conditional to the discretion of the Board of Directors, and association approval

**Compensation**:

- Beginning compensation may be up to $20.00 per hour based on experience level

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
