The district has an anticipated vacancy for a UPK teacher starting the 2024-2025 school year, located at Moreau Eementary.

This position is within the SGFFA contract with a pending MOA with the following:
Section 3 - Elementary Working Conditions (Pre-K to 5)

A. Length of Day

The length of the instructional day for grades Pre-K -5 shall be 6 hours 30 minutes. The professional workday shall begin 5 minutes prior to the instructional day for grades Pre-K-5. The work day shall end 10 minutes beyond the instructional day on each day to include student/bus departure. One additional day will be used for department/faculty meetings as scheduled by the building principal and/or central administrator(s) with at least thirty (30) days notice. Superintendent's Conference days will be scheduled for a normal length work day.

B. Instructional Assignment
- All elementary teachers shall have a forty (40) minute duty-free lunch. Aides/lunch monitors will be available to assist Pre-K through third grade students with the lunch process by request of the classroom teacher.
- Each K- 5 elementary classroom teacher will have during the work week the following preparation time:

- One (1) forty-five minute daily preparation period
- One (1) sixty minute weekly preparation period
- A total of two hundred eighty-five (285) minutes per week of preparation time
- The preparation periods shall be free of instructional, administrative or supervisory duties.

Each Pre-K elementary classroom teacher will have during the work week the following preparation time:

- 45 minutes daily preparation minutes
- The preparation periods shall be free of instructional, administrative or supervisory duties.
- There shall be a minimum of 20 consecutive preparation minutes each day.

NYS Certificaiton Birth to Grade 2 or PK-6.
