We are partnering with our client to assist with their search for a **Clinical Psychologist, Mood Disorders Center. **Our client is an independent, national nonprofit dedicated to transforming the lives of children and families struggling with mental health and learning disorders. They work to deliver the highest standards of care, advance the science of the developing brain, and empower parents, professionals and policymakers to support children when and where they need it most.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and treatment to children, adolescents, and young adults with mood disorders, including clients with comorbid anxiety-related disorders and externalizing disorders
- Provide empirically supported treatments such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as mindfulness-based interventions in treatment
- Conduct family-based interventions with parents and other family members, including Parent Management Training (PMT), and collateral contacts with educators and other providers
- Collaborate with board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrists on cases requiring pharmacotherapy
- Provide clinical supervision to psychology trainees
- Conduct public workshops on youth mental health topics as part of community outreach
- Other related duties as assigned by the Senior Director, Mood Disorders Center
**Qualifications**:
- Doctoral degree from an APA-accredited or CPA-accredited program in clinical psychology
- Completion of APA-approved clinical pre-doctoral internship
- Completion of post-doctoral fellowship
- Must have a current, valid, unrestricted license to practice psychology in the state of New York or be in the process of obtaining that license
- Demonstrated expertise in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT)
- Experience in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) preferred
- Prior experience supervising and training psychology trainees preferred
- Demonstrated experience with professional writing and public speaking preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of individuals/groups
- Flexible thinking with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
The anticipated salary range for this position is $130,000 - $170,000 annually. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
