**ATTENTION**:
Seeking a friendly, professional, self-motivated Arts and Entertainment Associate to coordinate arts and culture programming for the new division of the Fair Oaks Recreation & Park District. This position requires an enthusiastic and flexible applicant. The job may include weekends, evenings, and afternoons. Therefore, only interested and committed applicants should apply.

**Job Summary**:Under the direction of the Arts & Entertainment Manager, the Arts and Entertainment Associate assists in administering activities to benefit the arts & entertainment division with a focus on planning and overseeing daily organizational duties including accurately upload and manage data on multiple platforms, creating and implementing arts & culture classes for all age groups, along with program evaluation and performance measures. Additional duties include volunteer recruitment and engagement, marketing, graphic design, research, and other responsibilities. Additionally, the Arts and Entertainment Associate will assist in liaising with teaching artists/instructors and implementing classes at the District and partner sites while providing the highest customer care. This position would be responsible for completing their assigned tasks specific to the job accurately and independently while maintaining the confidentiality and a professional demeanor in all aspects of their work. The work schedule will vary, and hours are not guaranteed weekly or monthly. Incumbent(s) must be available to work evenings and weekends.

**Hours**:Approximately 15-20 hours per week (varies depending on class schedules, some weeks might be up to 40 hours)

**Essential Functions**:
The following duties are typical for this classification. However, incumbents may not perform all of the listed duties and/or may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices:

- Strong working knowledge of digital administrative tools including Microsoft office Suite, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, general knowledge of Canva, Activity Messenger/Constant Contact, Survey Monkey along with Understanding of CivicsPlus website updates and SmartRec registration software a plus.
- Organize and implement multi-discipline arts education programming for participants of all ages and abilities to support the District and division goals.
- Build and maintain relationships with local artists, cultural organizations, and community members to enhance program offerings and community involvement.
- Promote arts programs through various channels, including social media, community newsletters, and local media outlets.
- Organize and participate in community outreach activities to raise awareness and increase participation in arts programs.
- Assist the A&E Manager in the planning and execution of the grand opening of the new performing arts center.
- Maintain accurate records of program participation, feedback, and financial transactions.
- Provide support for other district events and activities as needed
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, adjusting as needed to ensure high-quality experiences for participant
- Schedule and contract teaching artists/instructors and disseminate timeline
- Coordinate all program delivery, supplies, and setup.
- Participate in weekly and quarterly staff meetings
- General office, data entry, and computer support
- Provide support for the Arts & Entertainment Manager
- Perform on-site program / instructor / event evaluations and compile reports.
- Perform a variety of clerical and administrative duties as needed.
- Maintain a weekly schedule of duties performed, a daily journal, and weekly reports
- Promote and enforce safety procedures; render first aid and CPR, if certified, as required
- Use strong customer service and interpersonal skills during public contact during activities
- Act as Department representative to residents, community groups, private businesses, and others concerning questions, problems, concerns, and activities in the Arts & Entertainment division.
- The Part-Time Arts & Entertainment Associate may perform other essential and nonessential duties as assigned.

**Job Requirements**:

- Ability to work independently while exercising responsible judgment and initiative.
- Work in a team environment
- Maintain a high level of quality customer service.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary, including knowledge of basic office equipment and computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to lift fifty pounds (50 lbs.).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- General knowledge of arts and culture program
