The Pricing Analyst will report to the VP of Merchandising & Analytics and will report on competitive market, department sales and gross margin, and cost compliance. Provides information to assist management in developing pricing and operational strategies and policies to achieve optimum strategic market positioning and corporate income. The role will suggest, implement, and maintain pricing infrastructures. Evaluates effectiveness of pricing strategies and modifies pricing structures as needed. Provides reporting and documentation of pricing structures and serves as the point-of-contact for pricing inquiries from internal sales departments, but not end customers.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Compile and distribute reporting related to key indicator performance such as sales trends, store results, productivity, and gross margin trends.
Performs sales and gross margin variance reporting and analysis, comparing actual performance to forecast or plan.
Track and report on the performance of Competitive Pricing and Promotional Pricing Programs.
Reviews and analyzes item and category sales performance, and customer responses to pricing strategies to identify possible issues/improvements and provide management with recommendations and resolutions.
Develop pricing strategy and price change recommendations for a group of products.
Perform analysis and recommendations for margin enhancements that will generate increased revenue, profits, and customer satisfaction
Provides margin impact analysis, forecasts, breakeven analysis, remodels or relocations performance reviews and operations analysis.
May serve on ad hoc teams and/or committees to provide analyses and professional insight on key price, product and customer interactions.
Ad Hoc reporting and analysis as questions and priorities arise from the business
Position requires a self-starter who is flexible and can achieve an objective with little supervision.

**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; with a minimum of 2 - 5 years prior pricing/sales/marketing/financial experience.
Must have knowledge of retail sales environment.

Pay Scale $60.5K to $70.0K.

The pay scale above is the salary or hourly wage range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position.

Within this range, individual pay is determined by location and other factors including, but not limited to, specific skills, relevant work experience, and relevant education and/or training. This information is provided to applicants in accordance with California Labor Code - 432.3 and state and local minimum wage standards.

Compensation: $60,500 - $70,000
