**Overview**

The Richardson School provides a year-round school option for local districts to access for children with special needs. Typically, these children have been dually diagnosed with developmental or neurological disabilities and emotional, behavioral or mental health disorders.

As an Instructional Aid having empathy and understanding of the emotional and developmental disabilities of the people you serve is essential. The Richardson School will provide training to use proper interventions and approaches while helping students with their daily needs.

As an Instructional Aide, you will:

- Help students with personal cares
- Be involved in behavior/crisis intervention
- Administer medication
- Incident report-writing
- Facilitate learning activities for students
- Accompany students and camp attendees on outings/field trips

WAGES & BENEFITS
- Full time, 1st shift-8am-4pm
- Student Loan Pay down AND Tuition Reimbursement program
- Payrate: $20/hr
- Year-round school and camp during the summer

To be considered for this job, you **must** meet the following requirements.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
- Good judgement, ability to make quick decisions, and problem solve
- Remain calm under pressure and maintain self-composure in high stress times
- One year of experience working with special needs students is valued and encouraged
