**Overview**:
Overtime Athletics (OTA) Chicago is looking for an experienced sports/games instructor who loves kids and sports and schoolyard games to join our daycare services team.

We are _**NOT**_ a daycare--rather, we _partner _with Daycare providers and offer on-site sports and athletic activities and games for their enrolled students. You will play an important role in providing a safe and fun learning environment for young kids of various ages.

First and foremost, you must love teaching and working with kids, and second, you have to be comfortable teaching a variety of sports, and tailoring what you teach to suit various age groups and skill levels of children.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care
- Prepare a basic lesson plan for 1 to 2 hours sessions on site at one or more daycare locations
- Supervise and engage with children in various athletics-oriented sports, games and activities
- Punctuality and reliability--You_**MUST**_ show up 15 minutes before, and stay 15 minutes after the scheduled beginning and end of the class or learning session
- Flexibility to teach/coach at mulltiple locations is very important
- Must be able to pass a background check

**Skills**:

- Experience working with children is required
- Experience with kids/youth sports is highly desired
- Experience teaching or coaching kids is a must
- Ability to positively and energetically engage children with different motor skills and athletics proficiency, so the kids have fun and build their fitness and their self-esteem
- Ability to speak other languages (e.g. Spanish, Russian, etc) a big plus
- Ability to manage and redirect challenging behaviors from kids of different ages
- First Aid and CPR Certifications are much preferred

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
