What we want

The Special Assistant to the Vice President assists the Chief Operating Officer of the Galveston Campus and the Superintendent of the Texas A&M Maritime Academy with special projects.

What you need to know

**Salary**: Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire’s experience.

Required Education and Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ten years of related experience in general office.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

Essential Duties/Tasks
- Special Projects - Works on special projects under the direction of the direction of the VP/Chief Operating Officer of the Galveston Campus, and the Superintendent of the Texas A&M Maritime Academy. Develops and recommends policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Review Business-Related Needs - Collaborates with others to create new and expanded programs. Performs special projects assigned by the Chief Operating Officer.
- Reports - Prepares reports on program activities.
- Reviews on file for office - Assists with management of performance evaluation process in the Galveston Campus Office and other projects and programs.
