We are seeking a highly motivated Regulatory Analyst to join our regulatory team. The Regulatory Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, interpreting, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and standards governing the oil and gas industry. This role will require a good understanding of regulatory frameworks, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex regulatory requirements effectively.
**Responsibilities**:
- Permitting Wells: new drill, recomplete, deepening, SWD, injection, state, federal, city, county, FAA, EPA, etc.
- Annual/semi-annual well testing coordination with the field.
- Analyzes and monitors regulatory issues and develops recommendations for the organization regarding regulatory strategy.
- Participates in the process to maintain regulatory compliance.
- Meet filing deadlines to avoid penalties or fines. Relay requirements to field personnel so that they understand what we are needing, thereby streamlining the process.
- Establish relationships with regulatory bodies and maintain same while keeping up with new rules and regulations. Implement ways to handle assigned area more effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, regulatory affairs, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in regulatory affairs, environmental compliance, or a related field within the oil and gas industry.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing the oil and gas industry, including but not limited to environmental, health, safety, and operational regulations.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and assess their implications for the company.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven track record of successfully managing regulatory compliance programs and projects, including permitting, reporting, and auditing.
- Experience with regulatory software systems and tools is a plus.
